The Terrible Bird Killer

We have a bird feeder outside our upstairs kitchen window that my dad gave Scotty for his birthday. The birds haven't been fed in about two weeks. So, I finally carried the 50lb box of birdseed upstairs from the garage. As soon as I opened it, at least 3 terrifying spiders popped out to say hello and hundreds of slimy larva things oozed everywhere inside. Instead of dipping my hand in the box to scoop out seed and funnel it into the feeder, I did something I thought was more logical. I dropped the entire box face down, through the window, and onto the grass in the back yard. This way I was safe from the bugs that wanted to kill me, and the hundreds of birds in the parkway would be able to eat in our backyard again. What I didn't consider at that moment was this would make it much easier for our cat to catch birds. Instead of jumping and smacking her stupid face into the window, several times like she has each day for weeks, she has been able to catch birds effortlessly from ground level. Who knows how many birds have lost their lives in the last 24 hours. Spiders are terrible things!

This spider makes my skin crawl.

Our weekend

Our weekend started off with me cleaning up the house, a visit from Blanca and her son Johnathan. We chatted as the kids played. We then went and picked up Scotty's two cousins Halee, and Taylor for Godfathers pizza, movies, and a sleepover.

Scotty had so much fun running around with Halee and Taylor, until his face turned beat red. We made out their beds where they eventually passed out one by one. We even fit some crafts in there somewhere.

In the morning we made yummy pancakes for breakfast. The kids ran around played and we then took his cousins home. Jeff took the kids to Carls Jr. to play and eat, he took them to the store and they came home spoiled. : )

Put the kids to bed and Jeff and I enjoyed scary movies until late. Our Sunday was pretty similar, just relaxed played a little, and enjoyed the company of our children. To end the night we went out to dinner with the kids, came home played and put the kids to bed.

This has been a great weekend for the Cuno family.

Scotty's 5th Birthday

Scotty Turned 5 years old April 1st 2011 (fools day)  We surprised him with a huge bounce house that had an obstacle course, slide, and basket ball hoop inside of it. The turn out was great, there were too many kids to count. I made snack size french bread sandwiches, a huge tray of kid sized fruit skewers, Nutella and strawberry bagettes, and of course cake n ice cream. The weather was surprisingly warm for April which was a pleasant thing. Scotty was so excited, and I believe it will be a hard birthday to top.

More Pictures coming soon.
