Loving

Thing I love about my husband:

He loves me, and makes sure I know this.
He is a very good parent, and a patient one at that.
He always stands up for and with me.
He is incredibly smart.
He is so helpful with the kids, and giving me a break
even when he needs one just as much as I do.
He spoils me rotten and that's an understatement.
He has always made sure that his family is taken care of,
very selfless.
He is a great listener most of the time(wink)
Most of all I am so IN love with this man so much I couldn't imagine
a life without him. He makes my heart happy.

Things I love about Scotty:

I love that he shows me unconditional love
I love when I tuck him in, give him a hug,
he wraps his arms around my neck and pulls me
down onto his bed and says I'm not letting go
please scratch my back.
I love how he is so well mannered, and listens.
I love how he plays action figures
I love how he is always eager to know what,
why, and how everything works.
I love how he loves to learn big words, and
will practice using them on his own.
I love his CUTE smile and glowing eyes so
happy to learn, love and explore.
Most of all I love every inch of him and wouldn't
trade a second of him for anything.

Things I love about Paula

I love how she at such a young age 1 years old
is so good with her favorite cat Eeny minnie.
I love how much she loves to cuddle and hug me.
I love how her smile.
I love how she looks at so many things just
fascinated, and in awe.
I love how I can tell she just loves her family.
I am excited as time goes on and she gets older to learn
more about Paula and her growing personality.
I love my two little ones, they are everything to me.

I am so happy to have these people in my life. There's no way there's greener grass on the other side for us.

Paula's a Flirt

Paula is such a little flirt, there's lots of different little things she does to suggest this. Here is Paula and her recent baby crush. Her big brother's friend Josh, she smiles this huge smile when he comes to the door. She waves and says hi, hi, hi, until he responds.

Scotty has lots of new little friends in the neighborhood, and his other boy and girl friends come to the door and Paula is mute unless it is Josh.

Eeny Minnie's Relationship with our kids

I have to say we really lucked out we adopted a cat like no other. She is the sweetest cat to Scotty and Paula, she loves to roll over at their feet waiting for them to give her some loves. She sleeps next to Scotty the most, and would sleep next to Paula if I let her. (Paula's still in a crib, and too young)

Our cat will follow me to the mail box, and back home. She'll walk beside me as I go to get Scotty from his friend Max's house. She will hang out in our front yard with the kids during the day.

On another note she is a vicious predator to the small animals in the protected wet lands behind our house. She brings us decapitated mice, and birds of all sizes from the field. I'll spare everyone any more details.

Here are some pictures of our animal family member:

The influence commercials have on kids

I didn't realize how much children are drawn into commercials, not limited to toy commercials. A few months ago Scotty tells me "hey mom guess what?" What I ask. "For your birthday I'm going to get you Oxy Clean." I ask why. He says "It works hard to get tough stains out of things." (laughs) I found it adorable that he was thinking of me, and that he wanted me to have something to help me when I clean.

Just a few days ago after seeing a commercial/song about how it's important to eat your veggies if you want to grow tall. Scotty tells me that he needs to tell his Papa Dean he should have been eating his veggies because the guys at Lagoon (or in Scotty lingo magoon) were taller than Papa Dean.

These are just a few fun memories of fun things that Scotty shares with us, and I want to remember.

My dad, still looking young as ever
