Scotty is becoming more and more intrigued with how money is made, and all the things you need it for: fun, bills, living etc. But along with his newfound intrigue, has sparked concern: what would happen if Dada stopped making money?
Scotty: "dada, if you ever stop getting paid, I can give you some quarters."
Me: "Thank you, but that is something you don't need to worry about. I'll always get paid."
Scotty: "But what if you run out of doctors to sell to hospitals?" (equating physician recruiting to the trinkets his mom makes and sells online for fun, that require actual materials.)
Me: "Scotty, there are lots and lots of doctors in the country, it's not possible to run out of them."
Scotty: "but what if a meteor hits the earth and it kills all the doctors like the dinosaurs?"
Me: "That would be a problem."

That's sweet. Once we told our son that Olive Garden cost $40 (mostly to get him to stop bugging us) and so now every time we pass one he asks, "Do we have $40? I can give you some money from my piggy bank." Or the infamous, "Just use your credit card." Ha!
ReplyDeleteAnd shoot, if a meteor hits the earth and kills all the doctors, we won't need money to pay any to fix us! Sweeeeet.
