Bedtime stories with Scotty (Egypt)

We are currently reading the book that Scotty and Paula's uncle Ken gifted to them. Their uncle Ken is a professor of Egyptian studies, and he played a part in this books creation.

Here is a picture of the book.

We learned a few things in the beginning of the book including things about the western desert, about the rain, about what camels are used for and more.

A few of Scotty's questions:
(After seeing a picture of the desert) Mom how do people breath over there, there are no trees?

Mom why do people use camels for meat? How do we get meat from camels? Do they poop out the meat?
After reading a a good portion of the beginning of this book Scotty who is 5 years old had some pretty in depth questions, he is very inquisitive. He has this burning need to understand how everything works, and if it doesn't make sense he will find the reasons why, and ask you.
I can't always answer his questions on the spot, and have noticed how Scotty is helping me to learn along side him.
